AVAA (Australian Virtual Assistants Association) is a non-profit organisation dedicated to the education and development of its members as part of the professional Virtual Assistants industry, and educating the public on the role and function of the Virtual Assistant here in Australia.
The Australian Virtual Assistant Industry was born in 1996 with the advent of the Internet and its use in the business world.
From there the industry has grown considerably and it is estimated there are around 2,000 VAs in Australia and growing. While a small number of VAs have worked towards helping the industry grow and develop, both overseas and here in Australia, it is recognised that there is a need for a voice for the industry represented by a committee of committed VAs. AVAA is committed to being that voice.
The AVAA will provide the opportunity for its members to participate in:
- continued education
- networking events, both online and face-to-face
- the annual Australian VA Conference
- government lobbying, grants, funding and awareness
- exclusive member benefits
We look forward to your joining our organisation.
