Anita Kilkenny started her virtual career started back in 1994 when she registered THB Secretarial Solutions but didn’t become a full time VA until 2000 when AKA Virtual PA was born to help business owners, entrepreneurs and solopreneurs with their administration and secretarial needs and, more recently, with social media, email marketing and online events.
Having a long time interest in yoga, meditation and alternative health modalities. Anita saw a gap in this niche market and on 16 July 2014, The Holistic Virtual Assistant was born.
- 2002 became one of the first in Australia to be awarded with the post nominal of Accredited Office Professional (AOP)
- 2003 was awarded a Master Virtual Assistant (MVA). Anita also won the 2003 AIOP (Australian Institute of Office Professionals) Award of Excellence.
- 2004 was invited to sit on the founding Steering Committee for Online Internationals Virtual Assistants Convention (OIVAC) to assist with the website and registrations and was also involved in establishing International Virtual Assistant’s Day (and who coined the phrase) which is now celebrated annually on the third Friday of May. Anita served on the committee for 4 Conventions.
- 2006 received the AIOP President’s Award for Excellence and was nominated for the National Award of Excellence.
- 2010 co-founded and organised the Australian Virtual Assistant Conference (AVAC) with Kathie Thomas from A Clayton’s Secretary and a wonderful support committee of fellow VAs. The two day event was an amazing success and is now a regular event on the VA calendar.
- 2011 served on the Alliance for Virtual Businesses, Australia Chapter (A4VB Au) founding Committee.
- 2011 was nominated for the Thomas Leonard International Virtual Assistant of Distinction Award (IVAD)
- 2012 co-founded Australia’s first association for Virtual Assistants, the Australian Virtual Assistants Association (AVAA), a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to the education and development of its members as part of the professional Virtual Assistance industry, and to educating the public on the role and function of the Virtual Assistant here in Australia.
- 2013 nominated for the Telstra Business Woman of the Year award.
- 2015 nominated for Motivating Mum Best Service-Based Business Award

Kylie Short. Based in Port Macquarie (in a little seaside village called Bonny Hills, 25mins south of Port Macquarie), Kylie Short and her team at Tilda Virtual provides first-class Bookkeeping, BAS Agent services, Virtual Assistance services and training to small business owners both locally and around Australia.
As a self-confessed high achiever and award winner, Kylie and her team place a strong emphasis on providing the highest quality of service possible to their clients. Sandra O’Connor. PAvirtual began in 2012 when Sandra O’Connor decided to take the plunge into self-employment after she wrapped up her 17 years of being an administration worker. PAvirtual assists businesses with administration needs, freeing up valuable time and leaving business operators to concentrate on the areas they have expertise in.
Sandra offers services such as preparing reports, agendas, recording minutes and actions, budget monitoring and any work with detailed or extensive documents. Her work involves research, online invoicing, word processing, customer service, presentations, appointment management and personal tasks.

In 1998 whilst holidaying in Perth Western Australia, Glynis came across Secretarial Service of WA (SSWA) as she was wondering through the City of Perth and thought how wonderful to be nestled in London Court doing business.
Glynis has been a PA/Office Manager for many years and having her own business was the next step. So less than 10 years later having emigrated to Western Australia, Glynis was the owner of SSWA and is PA/Legal Workflow Manager to several Professionals, specialising in Legal Workflow. Glynis is a big picture thinker and loves the intricate attention to detail necessary to offer her clients the highest quality service possible to efficiently streamline their administration whilst organising their day to day workflow.
The ambience of working in London Court makes every day a pleasure to work. Glynis is a member of ‘A Clayton’s Secretary’, AVAA and as well as the Secretarial/PA/Office Manager qualifications also has a Diploma in Proofreading, Editing & Publishing and is a qualified Author’s Assistant.

Ingrid Bayer is the founder of V-biz Virtual Business Management Services. With a background of over 25 years in small business administration and high level EA support, Ingrid has a wealth of knowledge and expertise in providing superior services in a constantly changing business landscape.
Ingrid made the move from conventional ‘bricks and mortar’ employment situations, and established her VA business in 2009, working out of her large home office located in Taree, a regional centre on the mid-north coast of NSW, and has continued to provide long term high level business and Executive Assistant support to clients in a variety of industries including Australian and International Professional Speakers/Authors/Coaches, IT industry, Chambers of Commerce, Registered Training Organisations, and Human Resources.

Lyndal is the owner of Direct VA which started in 2011 after 19 years of various administrative/project management roles both here in Australia and overseas. At the beginning of her journey, Lyndal wrote resumes and job applications and offered general admin support to small businesses. In 2012, Lyndal realised the world of virtual assistance was exactly what she’d been looking for and left her part-time position as a Computer Trainer to build Direct VA.
